
The traditional Parthenon settlement is located In the peninsula of Sithonia, Chalkidiki, on the verdant slopes of Mt Dragounelis.
The local history and folklore exhibition is housed in the old primary school stone building (1908).

The visitor will experience the school, domestic, rural and social life of Parthenon as well as the ethics, customs and culture of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Also, the visitor will become familiar with the history of Parthenon through rich photographic, printed and audiovisual material, documents and oral testimonies of the old inhabitants.

On the ground floor of the museum the visitor can find an exhibition of traditional products.
The renovation of the museum was completed in 2016 with the help of the Municipality of Sithonia and community funds. The museum operates according to modern museological specifications.
Museums are knowledge and memory, Through the exhibits the visitor will experience the history and life of another era.
